    1、Unit2 CloningReading: CLONING: WHERE IS IT LEADING US? 教学设计一、教材分析 本单元以Cloning为话题,旨在通过单元教学,使学生了解克隆技术的优缺点,学会表达和支持个人观点,能用所学的有关Cloning的词汇去表述自己对这一新技术的观点和看法。”阅读”(Reading)部分提供的材料CLONING: WHERE IS IT LEADING US?是一篇介绍克隆技术的说明文, 具体介绍了植物与动物克隆的区别,多利羊的诞生与死亡及由此引发的争论。帮助学生进一步认识克隆的意义在于解决医学上的难题,为人类服务。从话题内容上分析,Warming

    2、Up与Reading相一致,从教材份量来说,可将Warming Up和Reading整合在一起,设计成一节任务型“阅读课(精读课)”。二、学情分析我所带的两个班级的学生英语基础一般,平时较少阅读科学题材的文章, 知识面相对狭窄,阅读理解这篇文章还是有一定难度。但学生的好奇心和学习接受能力比较强,可以布置学生课前上网或去图书馆找出一些有关克隆的资料,并与多媒体相结合简单介绍克隆及克隆技术的一些知识,让学生有了一定的知识准备以利于很好的理解课文。 三、设计理念及教学目标 这节课的主要目的是培养学生跳读和细读的阅读技巧,使学生学会准确分析阅读问题,懂得从文章中找到关键句子摄取必要的信息,找出正确的答

    3、案。我运用多媒体和学生搜索材料主动参与学习相结合,设计了表格、问答题、判断题和信息整理题。这不仅提高学生的阅读技巧,也教会学生怎样处理不同的阅读问题。 四.教学目标Teaching goals1.     6、ow three cartoon pictures about cloning to arise studentsinterests, then raise the question: 1. What is cloning? 2. Do you want to be cloned or not? why?通过展示图片和提问,激发学生对克隆技术的兴趣和好奇心,启发学生预测课文的内容,以便通过阅读验证自己的推测。 Step 2 Warming up(1分钟) Show the picture of Dolly the sheep(多莉羊)on the screen. Get students to

    7、 look at the picture and discuss: How does Dolly differ from other sheep?进一步营造宽松和活跃的课堂气氛,充分调动学生学习的积极性,即或学生的思维,培养他们发散思维能力。这就为进一步的学习做足了铺垫。Step 3 Reading(共26分钟) Get the students to comprehend the passage quickly and accurately and meanwhile help the students form a good habit of readingTask1.Skimming(6
