、一段最后一句“Wildcards are useful if you do not know how to spell a word”,所以选择 B. Wildcard searches.22.A命题意图:考查细节理解答案分析: 根据题目“the requirement of using the advanced search” 可知答案应该在 How to use the advanced search 根据“An advanced search is a full search of the entire dictionary text which is for readers

、 who have logged in or subscribed to the dictionary.” A. Registering for the dictionary.23.C命题意图:考查推理判断答案分析:根据文章中第一段“The quick search bar can be found on the OED homepage and at the top of every entry page”,第二段“The question mark ? represents”、“the

、 asterisk * represents”,第三段“who have logged in ”可知,文中所说的字典主要是网上使用,所以选择 C. A website.B 篇文章分析:本文是一篇记叙文,讲述高尔夫球员 Hsieh Cheng-wei 以很小的年纪打破了 Guan Tian-lang所创造的年龄记录。

A. He didnt play the game with ease.27.C命题意图:考查推理判断答案分析:根据最后一段“The youngster will now hope to progress better than previous record holder Tian-lang”, Hsieh Cheng-wei 接下来会更加努力地训练以取得更大的成就,所以选择 C. Make greater achievements.C 篇文章分析:本文是一篇夹叙夹议的文章,讲述作者在疫情封锁期间注意到居家对于语言的影响。

、.meits.org/blog/post/whats-coronavirus-doing-to-our-languages28.A命题意图:考查细节理解答案分析: 根据第一段“most of the UK, will have been stuck at home for a whole month since 23rd March.”以及“our language is also being affected by the current situation”可知,由于疫情,大多数的英国人需要居家,人们不仅要适应疫情居家所带来的身体挑战,语言也受到了影响,所以 the current sit

A. People in the UK have to stay at home.29.C命题意图:考查细节理解答案分析:从第三段“With the closure of schools and universities, most bilingual students now live at home where they are immersed in a linguistic environment, where on the one hand, they are losing hundreds of contact hours with English-spe

、aking peers.”

、 We speak with more accents.31.D命题意图:考查推理判断答案分析:本题主要考查作者的写作方式。从第二段“All of a sudden, the pandemic has people like you and me with no medical backgrounds talking like true epidemiologists (specialists who study diseases).”以及最后一段“In this sense, what this national lockdown does to our accents is like wh

、en we have been on an extended holiday abroad with the family. Maybe when we can finally socialise again, we will be able to guess where each others roommates are from.”,作者使用“All of a sudden, with no backgrounds, true, an extended holiday, be able to guess”等词,可以看出作者是用一种轻松幽默的语气写这篇文章,所以选择 D. Humorous.

文章出处:32.C命题意图:考查推理判断答案分析:本段主要介绍 2012 年美国中部平原发生的骤旱,由于人们没有预计,带来了一定的损失, 以此例进一步说明骤旱的特点,所以选择 C. To further explain flash droughts.33.B命题意图:考查推理判断答案分析: 由第三段“Cook and his colleagues, using tree ring data paired with soil moisture data, reconstructed the frequenc

、y and scale of flash droughts in the Central Plains over the past 500 years.” 所以答案选择 B. By analyzing statistics.34.D命题意图:考查细节理解答案分析: 结合“But they only provide a guess of soil moisture, rather than showing whats happening beneath t

、he surface.” 以 及 “That exchange is happening in what we call the root zone about a meter underground, which is difficult to monitor from a satellite.”

A. What Flash Droughts Are七选五文章分析:本文是一篇说明文,讲述虚假消息特点,我们应该谨慎对待,辨认可靠来源,区分消息真假。

、择 A。40. As Mrs. Mueller always treated us to snacks kind-hearted a.
