3、re reported to the police as missing.The notepads are worth millions of pounds.They date back to the 1830s when Darwin returned from the Galapagos Islands.While there,he noticed that the islands had similar but different species which had adapted to their environment.The notepads show Darwins jottin

4、gs from this time as he began to come up with the theory of evolution.One of the notebooks contains a famous sketch he made called the Tree of Life.The sketch shows a rough idea of how species evolve over time.They start out similar at a shared point and then branch out and change over time.No one i

5、s sure who returned the books.They were left inside a pink gift bag.Inside was a typed note which said,“Librarian,Happy Easter.”The gift bag was left on the floor in a part of the library which does not have cameras.Wherever the books have been,luckily,they have been well looked after.The books are
