1、Unit 4 词汇篇_1. 理解并灵活运用重点单词、词组2. 理解、掌握并灵活运用重点句型 1. send 发送,寄,派遣 (sent sent)send sb. sth. = send sth. to sb. 寄给某人某物,接双宾。例如:My friend sent me a postcard. =My friend sent a postcard to me. 我的朋友寄给我一张明信片。send into 发射进入。例如:NASA most important job was to send an American into space and return him safely to E

NASA最重要的工作是把一个美国人送入太空并且安全返回地球。send for 派人去请。例如:I have sent for the doctor. 我已经派人去请医生了。send up 发射。例如:Many countries have sent up man-made satellites to circle the earth.许多国家都发射了人造卫星围绕地球飞行。2. put all ones efforts 倾尽某人所有的努力 put ones efforts into (doing) sth. 意为“努力做某事”。例如: Frank put all of his eff
3、orts into preparing for the party. 弗兰克倾尽全部努力来准备聚会。3. thank you for感谢你常用结构为thank sb. for sth. 或thank sb. for doing sth.。例如:Thank you for your present. 谢谢你的礼物。I must write and thank him for sending the cheque. 我必须写信感谢他送来的支票。4. get ready to do sth. 准备好做某事 get/be ready to do sth./ for sth./doing sth. 意思
4、都为“准备好做某事”。例如: Everythings packed, and were ready to leave/ for leaving. 所有东西都已经打包完毕,我们准备好出发了。 My parents and I are getting ready for the Spring Festival. 我和我的父母正为春节做准备。 5. pick up捡起,拾起 pick up意为“捡起,拾起”,宾语为代词时,必须把代词放在pick和up中间;若宾语为名词,可以放在pick和up的中间,也可以放在up后面。例如: The phone rang and I picked it up. 电话
5、响了,我去接了。 He picked up the cap from the floor and struck it back on his head. 他从地板上捡起帽子,重新待在头上。 pick up还可以意为“开车接,取”6. take off 起飞,脱去,去掉,例如: We eventually take off at 11 oclock and arrived in Hong Kong at 1:30. 我们终于在11点起飞,1:30到达机场。 He wouldnt take his hat off. 他不愿脱下他的帽子。7. tieto 把拴/系/捆在上,例如: They tied
6、 him to a lamp post and beat him up. 他们把他绑到路灯柱上揍他。8. make sb. do sth. 使某人做某事 make sb. (not) do sth. 使某人(不)做某事,例如: Parents always make their children learn many things. 父母总是让他们的孩子们学习很多东西。 补充:make sb./sth. + adj 意为“使某人/物”。例如: The bad news made him very bad. 这个坏消息使他很伤心。9. look forward to 期待着look forwar
7、d sth. 期待着某事;look forward to doing sth. 期待着做某事。例如:The students are looking forward to the summer vacation. 学生们正期待着暑假的到来。He was looking forward to working with the new manager. 他很期待和新经理一起工作。10. plenty of, a lot of, a number of的用法区别 plenty of, a lot of后既可以加可数名词复数也可以加不可数名词。例如: She had plenty of/ a lot
8、of friends in France. 在法国她有很多朋友。Leave yourself plenty of/ a lot of time. 给你自己留充足的时间。a number of后面只能加可数名词复数。例如:They have retrained a number of young technicians for our country.他们为我们工厂重新培训了许多的年轻技术员。 11. what if? 要是会怎么样呢? What if+ 主语+ 谓语?例如: What if the train is late? 火车要是晚点怎么办? What if she forgets to
