6、讨论。2先邀请几位同学朗读短文，教师要注意发音，及时纠正。然后播放录音，全班同学一起跟读。3短文内容巩固练习。让学生用自己的话复述短文内容，然后邀请若干同学给出自己的答案。4完成教材3b的任务，要求学生再次阅读短文，用3b方框中所给的单词完成句子。设计意图：将听、说、读、写的任务结合起来，不仅锻炼了学生的语言综合运用能力，还巩固了学生对目标语言的学习、识记和运用。【知识点拨】This is not only cruel，but also harmful to the environment.这不仅残忍，而且对环境有害。not only but also表示“不仅而且”，用于连接两个性质相同的词

7、或短语。在使用not onlybut also时还应注意以下几点：(1)该结构中的also有时可以省略。(2)当not onlybut also连接两个主语时，谓语动词的数原则上与其相近的主语保持一致。(3)为了强调，可将not only置于句首，此时其后的句子通常要用部分倒装的形式。Without a fin，a shark can no longer swim and slowly dies.没有了鱼鳍，鲨鱼再也不能游泳并且会慢慢死掉。辨析no longer与no more (1)no longer中的longer是副词long的比较级，longer有after a certain poi
