She has conducted research in a wide range of topics including internationalization of Small and Medium sized Enterprises and womens entrepreneurship.You see a wave of increased self employment,

3、especially sole entrepreneurs, because a lot of large corporations are changing their patterns on employment, so instead of being employed a reporter in the daily newspaper, you are hired in, you have to start your own business, and they hire you on project basis. So you are a freelancer, but they d

4、ont see themselves as an entrepreneurs, it is the industries that are driving into that direction.Holmquist said that women should do something different to the current economic pattern if they choose to do business.If women are going into business, they should also be doing things differently, the

5、current economy as we know the Neo-liberal economy is not working that well for the environment, not working that well for people, the notion of constant growth is not sustainable. So I think that women can be helpful in transforming society into a sustainable society where you look at long term eff

6、ect of your company.She said that in that sense, it is also an opportunity for women entrepreneurs to start and drive a business.During the symposium, more than women entrepreneurs from around the world shared experiences in how to start and drive a business.
