I am sure my guardian angel was whispering in my ear to turn around and head back home but I was stubborn and even a bit stupid, so I walked on. The dirt road gave way to a gravel one

    4、and then a paved one, yet there was still neither a car nor a house in sight. My legs were getting tired. I noticed that the sun was starting to go down and I grew scared. I didnt want to end up trapped on this road in the dark of night, but I was sure it would be dark before I could make my way bac

    5、k to the lake again. I continued to walk on with something growing inside of me. My heart was pounding and my legs were aching. I was almost in tears when I turned one last curve and saw something in the distance. It was a house that I recognized. My heart leaps up! I jumped up and down and laughed

    6、out loud. I knew the way home! It was still over a mile away but my legs felt like feathers and I hurried back to my house in no time. I walked in with a big smile on my face just in time for dinner. Then I ended my adventure with a good nights sleep. I often thought of that experience recently. Act

    7、ually, in our life, all roads, no matter how they twist and turn, can lead us home again. They can lead us to our homes here on Earth. They can lead us to our homes in our hearts. May you always walk your path with love. May you always help your fellow travelers along the way. And may your roads alw

    32、nt after completing the historic adventure, the explorer set up a tent on the worlds largest ice sheet and waited patiently for Rudd to complete the great undertaking. On December 29, just three days after OBrady arrived, the British explorer finished his adventure, becoming the worlds second person

    33、 to complete the solo crossing of the frozen continent. Rudd was not disappointed at being second since he never considered it to be a“race”. Besides, the 49-year-old British Army Captain had a more selfless motive for attempting the feat. He was doing it in memory of his friend Henry Worsley, who h

    34、ad introduced him to polar exploration. The disaster happened while Worsley was trying to cross the continent alone in 2016. Rudd said, “I didnt want to get drawn into a race. All that mattered to me was that I completed it, and that I skied solo and unsupported, carrying the flag with Henrys name o
