The ability to connect to friends, who remember the same movies, news and music, is really important, especially as people get old. They end up in retirement at home and they are

    3、nt always close to their friends. Allowing the network to help them connect with friends and family is a really powerful thing. My mother is an enthusiastic user of the Internet, although it took me years to get her to use e-mail. She was born with normal hearing, but lost it when she was 3. She was

    4、 totally deaf for many years, until age 53, when she got ear aids. They work really well. That is a big change for her. But before then, her friends couldnt call her on the phone, so they suggested she use e-mail to communicate with them. Young people dont even think of the Internet as technology. I

    5、ts just there, and they use it. Theres been a very interesting change in communication styles between old people and young people. There are some kids who are now in their teens and arent willing to make phone calls. And they think e-mail is old-fashioned and slow. The reason why teens dont make pho

    6、ne calls seems to be that they dont know what to say. When they call, they often stop for a while and theres a silence. On the other hand, texting is considered proper, and its okay if you dont answer. You might have been distracted. Its not rude. But it is strange if youre in this kind of conversat

If you hesitate to take action, ask yourself this : Whats the worst that can happen? Then prepare to accept it. Then go on to improve on the worst. Is failure the worst thing t

    30、hat can happen? No, absolutely not. Doing nothing is actually the worst thing that can happen. When you take no action, you are sure to get nowhere. Take action. Courage comes from taking action. You need to act to overcome your fear. Your action may put you into discomfort, but you have to just do

    31、it. And your action can prevent you from being stuck. To build up your confidence, you need to do the same thing over and over again.
