Firms sometimes fail to understand the difference between operation speed (moving quickly )and strategic speed (reducing the time it takes to deliver value ).Simply increasing the speed of production, f

    5、or example ,may be one way to try to reduce the speed difference .But that often leads to reduced value over time, in the form of lower-quality products and services.In our study, higher-performing companies with strategic speed always made changes when necessary. They became more open to ideas and

    6、discussion. They encouraged new ways of thinking. And they allowed time to look back and learn. As a doctor, mother and scientist in child development I believe there is nothing to recommend it, from the babys point of view. Mothers, doctors and nurses alike have no idea of where a bab

    25、are fed on demand do better at school at age 5, 7, 11 and 14, than babies fed according to the clock. By the age of 8, their IQ (智商) scores are four to five percent higher than babies fed by a rigid timetable. This research comes from Oxford and Essex University using a sample (样本) of 10,419 childre

    26、n born in the early 1990s, taking account of parental education, family income, a childs sex and age, the mothers health and feeding style. These results dont surprise me.
