    4、f friendship.T: Besides those we have mentioned, what qualities of a good friend do you expect? Can you brainstorm and think of other qualities? T: Here are some other aspects: selfless, honest and open, trustworthy, supportive, optimistic and cheerful, humorous and fun, considerate, generous.【设计意图:

Planning your writing(1) Learning about the text typeT: A diary entry is a record of a persons experience, thoughts, feelings or plans. As a personal form of writing, a diary entry is generally not meant to be read by anyone

    9、 else. (2) Learning about the formatT: When you write a diary entry, you should write the date in the top left-hand corner of the page and begin with “Dear Diary”.(3) Learning about the structureT: You can brainstorm ideas first and then organize your ideas with a mind map. I have come up with three

    10、 qualities of friends and plan to say something about my best friend as examples. Then I organize my idea with a mind map like this. 【设计意图:让学生熟悉日记写作的格式和篇章结构。】(4) Learning about the languageT: Try to use informal English, as if you were talking to a close friend. That is to say, informal writing is s

Informal writing has a more personal tone and therefore is suitable for this text type.T: Here are some features of informal English. Personal: A diary entry uses the first perso

    12、n “I”. Emotional: A diary entry allows for the display of true emotions. The key thing about a diary entry is that it is always kept truthful, natural and free-flowing. You should be honest about your feelings. Using contractions and abbreviations: We usually use “Ill” instead of “I will”, “esp.” in

    13、stead of “especially”. Simple: A diary entry uses shorter or even incomplete sentences. Colloquial: A diary entry uses informal words and slang. For example, we usually use “take away” instead of “withdraw” and “supply” instead of “furnish”.【设计意图:通过学习B部分中的日记,学生体会日记的语言风格,有利于他们在自己的日记写作中的语言创作。】2. Finis
