4、太太”，后接其丈夫的姓氏。e.g : Mrs. White “怀特夫人”,White 是她丈夫的姓氏；Mrs.表示：她已婚，的丈夫是Mr. White“怀特先生”。Ms “女士”，后面接其本人的姓氏；不再年轻，而且不提及其婚姻状况。e.g : Ms Li “李女士”，Li是她家（她父亲）的姓氏；Ms没有提及她的婚姻状况。据说是为了适应现代社会的需要发明的。Ms跟Mr.相对应，以体现男女平等。Miss“小姐”,后面接其本人的姓氏；比较年轻，未婚。e.g: 一个女孩叫Helen Green 。人们叫他Miss Green“格林小姐”。她的名字叫Helen 海伦，Green是她家（她父亲）的姓氏。M
