12、duating from high school, I still didnt have much work experience. Without hesitation, I applied for a volunteer position with Canada World Youth. They arranged a team of young women from across Canada to help and learn in Central America. We lived in a small town in the mountains of the Esteli regi
13、on. We were split into seven pairs and placed with seven different host families. We went through a week of pretraining in Toronto. Though we had received some training, things didnt go as well as we had expected.The biggest barrier was language. Many of us were told that our host families would spe
