1、Grammar 动词的-ing形式I.V-ing的形式V-ing的形式形式主动被动一般式 doingbeing done完成式 having done having been done 1.V-ing形式作主语动名词做主语指抽象概念,表示泛指,不涉及具体哪一次动作,通常也不涉及特定的动作执行者。有时用it做形式主语,常用于It is no use/good doing sth.句型。Teaching English is my job.It is no use arguing with the man over the matter.II.V-ing的用法以下动词后面常接V-ing形式作宾语:
2、finish,suggest,appreciate,consider(考虑),practice,delay,avoid,miss,imagine,enjoy,mind,risk,escape等及物动词以及cant help(忍不住),be worth,keep on,insist on,feel like,put off等短语。I dont mind being left alone at this very moment.You should avoid making the same mistakes.I cant help crying when I heard his death.注意
3、:介词后面通常都接动名词作宾语。How about the two of us taking a walk down the street?3.V-ing形式作表语 说明主语的内容。Our job is playing all kinds of music in our spare time.说明主语的性质和特点。The film is very interesting.注意:V-ing形式的否定式是在前面加上not.Tony was very happy for not having been invited to the party.4.V-ing形式作定语 表示所修饰名词的用途(动名词)
4、。a swimming pool=a pool for swimming 游泳池a waiting room=a room for waiting 候车室 表示所修饰的词正在进行的动作,可以换成定语从句形式(现在分词)。a sleeping child=a child who is sleepingthe working people=the people who are workingthe coming week=the week that is coming注意:V-ing形式作定语时,与被修饰的词之间有一种逻辑上的主谓关系,相当于一个定语从句;或者表示一种用途,作“供作用”解,相当于一
5、个for引起的介词短语。5.v.+ing形式作状语 作原因状语。Being so excited,many of us could not go to sleep that night.Not knowing her address,we couldnt get in touch with her.作时间状语。Reaching the river,we set up a tent for the night.Having finished our homework,I began to watch TV.作方式或伴随状语。The teacher came into the classroom,
6、holding a book in his hand.Talking and laughing,the students left the classroom.作让步状语。Though feeling very tired,he kept on working in the office.作条件状语。Seeing from the hill,you can see the beautiful lake.6.v.+ing形式作补足语I saw him slipping into the room.He noticed a boy getting on the bus.注意:v.+ing形式的一般
7、式doing表示其动作与谓语动词的动作同时或几乎同时发生;完成式having done表示其动作在谓语动词的动作之前已经完成。Walking along the river,we saw many flowers and birds.Having finished their homework,the students went back home.【趁热打铁】说出下列v.+ing短语在句中的语法作用。1.I remember posting the letter on my way to school.()2.Is it any use discussing the question aga
