Theyre thriving whether theyre in car-dominated cities like Houston or more traditional biking areas like New York. Keeping enough bikes in stock, and finishing repairs in a timely man
4、ner, has become a challenge. Customers are being turned away, in some cases. New customers are looking for ways to be active and outdoors. Bike shop owners say that the closing of gyms and yoga studios during the pandemic has contributed. Others say customers are looking for a commuting alternative
5、to public transportation. Social spacing is easiest on individual modes of transportation, like cars and bikes. In March 2020, US cycling sales increased 39% when compared with March 2019, according to a survey. Robert Keating, owner of the Triathlon Lab outside Los Angeles, said hes never seen anyt
6、hing like the current bicycle boom in the 37 years hes worked in bike shops. Hes shifted his shop from a focus on high-end bicycles to affordable bikes people are likely to ride in their neighborhood. The results highlighted that the duration of the daylight was more significant in influencing peoples moods than the amount of sun

Those near him had not been so lucky. Rescuers raised the concrete beams off Matrones limbs and lifted him out. It was some 60 hours since
26、 the avalanche. He was one of 11 people out of 40 to have survived. Soon after, he was airlifted to a hospital in a nearby town. Five days after his rescue, Matrone was given the heartbreaking news that his wife had died. Her body had been found near where Matrone had been trapped. The angel who had
