    2、tives that describe personality freely.难点How to make them to describe a person with these adjectives that we have learnt today教法及教具Talking, Practicing教学过程教 学 内 容 个案调整教师主导活动学生主体活动 Step 1 RevisionLead the students to review the two letters by answering some questions.Step2 Lead in 1.Students and teach

    3、er play a guessing game: Who is he/she?Students are asked to guess who the teacher is through the given description of the teacher.2.Teacher introduces the topic of today s lesson: Adjectives to describe personality by focusing Students attention on the words about personalities in the descriptions.

    4、Step3 Presentation of words describing personality1.Students are asked to work in a group of four and discuss the personalities of famous cartoon characters. Teacher gives four choices for each group: the seven dwarfs, the evil queen, Kung Fu Panda, and Tom&Jerry. Each group is free to choose any on

    5、e of the four choices.2.Representatives from each group tell the rest of the class their opinions towards the cartoon character. (In this process, students are allowed to refer to the dictionary or turn to teacher for help if they have any difficulty.)Step 4 Introduction of Positive adjectives and N

    6、egative adjectives 1. T puts all the adjectives that come up in Step 2 into two categories.Category 1: generous helpful kind reliable cheerful happy lovely friendly cute clever warm-hearted strong-minded hard-workingCategory 2: foolish stubborn lazy jealous selfish cruel evil vain dishonest unkind b

    7、ad-tempered2.Teacher guides students to find out that all the adjectives in Category 1 refers to the good points in a person, but the adjectives in Category 2 all refer to the bad points in a person. Thus, the idea of “Positive” and “Negative” is introduced.3. Students work in pairs and with the hel

    8、p of dictionaries try to find out whether the following are positive or negative:pen-minded moody honest polite narrow-minded impolite boring determined happy rude Brainstorming: Students are encouraged to think of as many positive and negative adjectives as possible to describe personality.Step 5 I

    9、ntroduction of synonyms and antonyms1. The idea of synonyms and antonyms is introduced by referring back to the discussion about the personalities of cartoon characters.2. Students try to tell the synonyms of :shy strong-minded friendly clever foolish hard-working3. Students try to tell the antonyms

    10、 of:hard-working talkative polite honest humorous open-minded kindStep 6 Language points1. All the actors in a play are called the cast.
