PresentationBring in pictures of people doing the jobs named in the unit.Draw houses side-by-side or a block of flats on the board. Draw people in the windows. Tell the pupils you are one of the people in the picture. Point to a

    3、nd label yourself. Point to the other people, saying Hes/Shes my neighbour.Show a picture of someone doing a job and say Hes/Shes a Stick the picture in one of the flats/houses. Write the name of the job under the picture on the board. Say Hes/Shes my neighbour. Hes/Shes a Repeat the process with th

    4、e other jobs.Rub the writing off the board and see if the pupils can tell you what the people do, e.g. Hes a doctor.Show Transparency and play the Pupils Book Cassette. Ask the pupils to repeat the sentences in the speech bubble after the beeps. Do the same with the vocabulary items. Practice1. Show

    5、 Transparency. Point to the people on the page, saying Hes/Shes a neighbour.2. Read the speech bubble. Get the pupils to point to the correct people.3. Make sentences using the names of the people stating what job they do, for example, This is Mr Wang. Hes a Get the pupils to point to the correct pe

Write the sentence on the board.3. Repeat the process with a photo of another that the pupils know. Ask Is he/she a stu

    10、dent? Introduce No, he/she isnt. Write the sentence on the board.4. Repeat this asking some correct and some wrong questions.IV. Practice1. Show Transparency and play the tape. The pupils listen and follow in their books. Continue to play the cassette and ask the pupils to repeat the words after the

    11、 beeps.2 .Pint to the people in the pictures and ask Whos that?3. Help the pupils to complete the sentences about the people in picture 3. Make sure to point out the picture and word cues in Mikes and Janes thought bubbles. The ticks in Janes thought bubbles indicate that the picture cues in Mikes c

    12、orresponding thought bubbles are correct , i.e. Mr Li is a postman and Mrs Chen is a shop assistant.4. Ss in pairs role-play the conversation between Mike and Jane. If that letter appears in the word, write in the correct place(s) in the word. If the letter does not appear in

    35、the word, draw one of the steps in the staircase. The teams may guess the word at any time after a letter has been guessed correctly.
