4、，作“另一方面”讲，表示陈述补充一些新的不同的事实。如：On the one hand the hotel is near the sea，but on the other hand it costs a lot.Its cheap but on the other hand the quality is poor.那件东西便宜，但从另一方面来说，质量很差。模仿造句。(1)一方面他有许多信要回复，另一方面他又想出去玩。(On one hand he had many letters to answer；on the other hand，he is eager to play outside.

6、ed rather die than lose the children.她宁愿死也不愿失去孩子们。此句式相当于“prefer to do sth.rather than do sth.”(宁愿做而不做)。如：I prefer to watch TV rather than go out.我宁愿待在家里也不出去。注意： (1)would rather.than./would.rather than.也可以颠倒为：rather than.would. Would(rather)和than后都接不带to的动词不定式，若选用的动词相同，那么than后的动词可以省略。如：I would rather

7、have noodles than rice. 我宁愿吃面条也不吃米饭。Rather than work in such bad condition，he would give up.与其在这样差的条件下工作，他宁愿放弃。(2)使用would rather.than.句型时要注意“平行结构”，即在than的前后要用两个同类的词或词组，如两个名词、两个不定式、两个介词短语等。如：I would rather go to work by bike than by bus. 我宁愿骑自行车也不愿乘公共汽车去上班。模仿造句。(1)我宁可在家温习功课也不愿去看电影。(I would rather rev

8、iew my lessons at home than go to the cinema./I prefer to go over my lessons at home than go to the cinema.) (2)他喜欢喝红葡萄酒而不喜欢喝啤酒。(He would rather drink wine than beer./He prefers to drink wine than beer.)Task 2如何写好建议信建议信是针对某事向对方提出你合理化的建议或忠告，使对方接受你的想法、主张，从而达到解决相关问题的目的。建议信可以是写给个人的，通常是就某个问题提出自己的观点和看法；也可

9、以是写给某个组织或机构的，通常是就改进其服务等方面提出建议或忠告。写建议信的注意事项如下：(1)信文要素要齐全， 包括信头 (写信人的地址和写信日期)、称呼、正文、结束语和签名。有时信头和信内地址文章开头已经提供。(2)建议要简明扼要，语气要礼貌中肯，论述要有逻辑，合情合理，突出重点。常用句型：提出建议的过渡句型：Here is my suggestion.(或 Here comes my advice.) My suggestion is as follows.Im more than glad to give you my advice. Please allow me to give m

10、y suggestions.Id like to share some suggestions with you.表达建议的常用句型：I would like to suggest that. If I were you, I would.
