The researchers examined the time diaries of 1,600 children, looking at parenting time and outcomes when the kids were aged 3 to 11 in 1997, and again in 2002, when they were between 8 and 16. A time diary is a detailed report showing you w
11、here your time is spent each day. This research largely reflects the failure of the authors to correctly measure parental input (投入). It just looked at time diaries from two particular days one a weekday and the other a weekend day. Trying to get a sense of the time you spend on parenting from a sin
12、gle days diary is a bit like trying to measure your income from a single day. If yesterday was payday, you would look rich, but if it was not, you would be reported as the poor. You get a clearer picture only by looking at your income or your parenting time over a more meaningful period. What you di
