1、M5U2 Grammar & Usage现在分词 V-ing学案学习目标:1. 了解v.ing形式(现在分词与动名词)的句法功能;2. 掌握现在分词的一般式,完成式,以及其否定形式.一Verb ing 形式概念动词的 ing 形式包括两种: 现在分词: 具有形容词和副词特征,可作定语、状语、表语、宾补等。 动名词:具有名词特征,可作主语,宾语,表语等。二现在分词的基本特点: 1. 在时间上表动作_。如: a developing country 发展中国家 rising sun 冉冉升起的太阳。 2. 在语态上表_。如: the ruling class 统治阶级三现在分词的时态和语态时态和语
2、态主动语态被动语态V-ing一般式(与谓语动词同时发生)_being done完成式(先与谓语动词之前发生)having done_四Verb-ing form as an adjective(一). the verb-ing form used as an attribute(定语)1. eg. (1)a walking man=a man who is walking(2)a walking stick=a stick for walking(1)a swimming man (2)a swimming pool eg. President Obama gave an extremely
3、interesting speech to his voters. 小 结 1:Verb-ing形式作定语既可表示动作正在进行(如例(1),此时相当于一个定语从句;又可表示所修饰名词的性质或用途(如例(2)。2. a running man The man running in the picture is Usain Bolt. 用v.ing 形式转换一下句型:(1). The teacher who is teaching us Chinese is Ms Wang.The teacher _ is Ms Wang(2). The people who are sitting behind

The expert who comes from Hongkong is a lady called Ms Cai.The expert _ is a lady called Ms Cai.小 结 2:单个的verb-ing形式作定语,放在所修饰的名词前面;Verb-ing短语作定语则放在所修饰的名词之后。而且,作定语时,与现在分词的区别,动名词作定语表示名词的作用或功能,现在分词作定语表名词正在进行的动作。a reading room_ a washing machine

7、tive(表语) 在分词与过去分词作表语的区别:凡表示“令人的”都是-ing形式, 凡是表示“感到”都用-ed形式。 如: It was an exciting news. He was excited about the news.interesting 使人感兴趣的; interested 感兴趣的exciting 令人激动的; excited 感到激动的delighting 令人高兴的; delighted 感到高兴的disappointing 令人失望的; disappointed 感到失望的encouraging 令人鼓舞的; encouraged 感到鼓舞的旅行是有趣的,但是使人疲
8、劳。Traveling is _(interest) but tiring如果要学生学得太多,他们会感到混淆的的。 The pupils will get _(confuse) if they are made to learn too much.他的论点很令人信服。His argument is very _ (convince).(四). Verb-ing form used as an adverbial(状语)Verb-ing短语在句子中可作状语,来修饰谓语动词或整个句子,表示动作发生的时间、原因、条件、结果、让步或伴随等情况。Verb-ing 短语作状语一般表示一个次要的动作, 一般
9、都可以变为相应的状语从句或并列句。1. 作时间状语Verb-ing 短语作时间状语要置于句首。如:Hearing the good news, my mother couldnt help laughing. =When my mother heard the good news, she couldnt help laughing. After I had received his letter, I decided to write back. _ his letter, I decided to write back. 2. 作原因状语Verb-ing 短语作原因状语置于句首。如:Bei
10、ng so angry, he couldnt go to sleep. = Because he was so angry, he couldnt go to sleep. 3. 作条件状语Verb-ing作条件状语置于句首或句末。如:If you work hard, you will succeed. _, you will succeed. 如果你勤奋一点,你就会成功。4. 作让步状语 Verb-ing短语作让步状语,可置于句首或句末,常与even if, though 连用。Though working from morning till night, his father didn
11、t get enough food.=Although his father worked from morning till night, he didnt get enough food. 虽然他父亲从早到晚拼命地干活,但是他还是挣不到足够吃的。5. 作伴随状语置于句首或句末。如:They sang and laughed; they came into the classroom.They came into the classroom, _. 他们又唱又笑地走进教室。注意:1. Verb-ing短语与when, while, though, until, if 等连词连用时,相当于这些
