1. A. droveB. drewC. dressedD. dragged【解析】选A。 2. A. wroteB. saidC. expressedD. warned【解析】选B。 3. A. eitherB. ne

当用each的代词词性时, 本句应该是giving each of them 25 cents。4. A. whoB. whenC. thatD. what【解析】选D。 从句what I needed在句中作look for的宾语, 引导词又要在从句中作动词need的宾语, 因此选wha

5. A. feedingB. caringC. pettingD. nursing【解析】选C。 6. A. whichB. whileC. whereD. whether【解析】选B。

7. A. turned overB. turned outC. turned awayD. turned around【解析】选D。 turn over翻阅; turn out结果是; turn away走开; turn around转身。 8. A. choseB. checkedC. hesitatedD. refused【解析】选A。 9. A. bringB. putC. pickD. wake【解析】选C。 bring up提出, 养育; put up举起; pic

、k up用车接; wake up醒来。 10. A. looked upB. looked downC. looked throughD. looked over【解析】选A。 look up向上看; look down向下看; look through浏览; look over查看。 【易错警示】在look through和look over短语后不能再跟介词at。11. A. petB. coatC. quarterD. candy【解析】选C。

、. . . giving them _ a quarter可知。12. A. successfulB. beautifulC. harmfulD. awful【解析】选B。 13. A. trustB. understandingC. honestyD. love【解析】选D。 14. A. anyoneB. no oneC. every oneD. someone【解析】选B。

15. A. wifeB. motherC. fatherD. children【解析】选A。 16. A. pileB. pairC. puzzleD. part【解析】选D。 17. A. seeingB.

18. A. diggingB. makingC. burningD. hiding【解析】选C。 burn a hole in pocket意思为“花钱如流水”。19. A. paidB. deliveredC. offeredD. afforded【解析】选C。

20. A. mottoB. messageC. modelD. matter【解析】选A。 Many people talked of the 288, 000 new jobs the Labor Department reported for June, along with the drop in the unemployment rate to 6. 1 percent, as good news.
