2、结非谓语动词中的现在分词主要起形容词和副词的作用,在句中作定语、表语、补语或状语。现在分词有两个基本特点。1.时间上表示动作正在进行。例如:a developing country一个发展中的国家/rising sun 冉冉升起的太阳(试比较:a developed country一个发达国家/risen sun 升起的太阳)2.时态上表示主动。例如:the ruling class 统治阶级/the exploiting class 剥削阶级。(试比较:the ruled class 被统治阶级/the exploited class 被剥削阶级)具体用法总结如下:(1)作定语单个分词作定语
3、时放在所修饰名词前,分词短语作定语时放在后,The sleeping boy is my son.They went along the path leading to the mountain top.并且名词与现在分词之间存有逻辑上的主谓关系,On hearing the news of his fathers death, he burst into tears.(2)作补语高中阶段只研究分词作宾补的情况,不研究作主补的情况。只有两类动词可以加现在分词作宾补:感官动词:see,hear,watch,feel,notice,observe,keep,find,listen to,look
4、at使役动词: have,get,catch,leave,set值得注意的是要想用现在分词来作宾补,只能是用于这些词后,但是并不代表这些动词后的宾补形式都要用现在分词(有些后面可以加不带to的不定式作宾补)。例如:I saw him singing now.Dont have the students studying all day.注意:宾语与作宾补的现在分词之间存在逻辑上的主谓关系,即宾语是现在分词动作的发出者。至于现在分词作主语补足语的情况,只需知道上述动词的被动语态形式中的现在分词作的是主补即可,无须深入。(3)作表语现在分词作表语有三级变化,可被副词修饰。例如:The story
5、is interesting./The match is exciting.(4)作状语作时间、条件、原因以及让步状语时要位于句首,且与后面用逗号隔开,能转换为一个相应的状语从句。作结果、方式及伴随状语时要位于句尾,且与前面用逗号隔开,有时也可以不用。注意分词作状语时的逻辑主语(即分词动作的发出者)一般要与句中主语保持一致。(这个是重点,也是考试和高考的常考点,必须记住。)作时间状语。例如:Walking in the street,I saw him.(=When/While I was walking in the street,I saw him.)Having received his
6、 letter,I decided to write back作条件状语。例如:Working hard, you will succeed. =If you work hard, you will succeed. 作原因状语。例如:Being ill, she stayed at home.(注意:being是常用来作原因状语的)Having been to the Great Wall many times,he didnt go last week. =Because (As) he had been to the Great Wall many times,he didnt go l
7、ast week. 作让步状语。-ing短语作让步状语,可置于句首或 句末,常与even if, though 连用。如:例如:Having failed many times,he didnt lost heart.Though working from morning till night, his father didnt get enough food.=Although his father worked from morning till night, he didnt get enough food. 虽然他父亲从早到晚拼命地干活,但是他还是挣不到足够的吃的。作结果状语。例如:H
8、is friend died, leaving him a lot of money.作方式状语。例如:Please answer the question using another way.作伴随状语。例如:He is standing there, singing.They came into the classroom, singing and laughing. (5)作独立成分。例如:generally speaking(一般来说), frankly speaking坦白的说,judging from/by (由判断出), considering考虑到Seeing that因为合作

10、eing the teacher is coming, the students stopped talking.(2)现在分词的完成时所表示的动作发生在谓语动词的动作之前。Having lived in the United State for many years, my brother knows a lot about the American culture.现在分词的语态:being done/ having been doneAS the lecture being given is of great importance, the students are listening

Having been discussed several times, the decision was finally made.小结: 1. -ing短语与when, while, though, until, if等连词连用时,相当于这些连引导的一个从句。如:While staying in Beijing, he came to see me twice.=While he was staying in Beijing, he came to see me twice.Though willing to attend the party, he ref
