20、plastics are tiny bits of plastic that come from plastic waste. Although we cant see them, microplastics are everywhere. Theyre in the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat. They have been found in every species on the Earth. Every time you pick up a plastic pen, drink from a singl
21、e-use plastic water bottle, or use anything made of plastic, youre unknowingly adding to the problem. Clothing made from artificial fibres is another significant source of microplastics. When you wear this kind of clothing, the fibres slough off (脱落) into household dust so its in the air you breathe
22、. When you wash the clothing, the fibres wash down the drain (下水道), ending up in our rivers, lakes and oceans.
