Bottled water drinkers may be drinking the most plastic of all. A new study released by Orb Media evaluates that on average, a liter of bottled
4、 water from big brands like Dasani, Aquafina, and Nestl, contains roughly 10.4 tiny plastic bits. The world drinks them in swiftly, consuming roughly a million plastic bottles a minute, as The Guardian evaluates. Aquafina and Dasani both said that their bottled water is tested on strict standards. N

In our modern, plasticfilling world, these little plastic bits many thinner than a human hair seem to be very common everywhere. We dont know

Thats an alarming possibility, because in the ocean, these little plastics are doing harmful things to fish. In some species, theyre even slowing down growth and reproduction. While there isnt clear evidence
7、yet that the plastics in singleuse water bottles can increase cancer risk, we know that bottles containing a chemical called Bisphenol A(BPA) do. The hard BPA plastics in certain reusable water bottles can lead to higher risks of breast cancer, and other diseases. And a few studies suggest the softe
8、r kinds of singleuse water bottles can have similar chemicals inside. The tiny plastic bits arent just in our bottles. They come out of our taps, too. The tiny plastics are also swimming in the seas and disturbing the way fish eat. In some countries, microplastics are even slipping into the salt mar

13、cted a series of studies to show the differences between students who wrote out their notes and those who typed notes. Participants took notes on a lecture using one of the two methods and were tested on the material 30 minutes after the lecture and again a week later. The results showed that both t
14、ypes of notetakers did well on the first test, but students with handwritten notes were able to remember and still understand the concepts of the lecture after a week had passed. These participants were also more open to new ideas. Researchers said that the reason is likely that longhand notes were
15、briefer, more organized, and better caught information from graphs and charts than typed notes. Another problem with typing notes is the tendency to transcribe lecture notes word for word. While this can help in recalling (回忆起) facts shortterm, it takes the focus away from the main points of the les
