As for me, I like to watch movies, compared to reading novels, because it saves time. I have to study every day, so I dont have much time to read a long story. Whats more, the movie has voice and the characters are lively. So I get into the story very soon and I wont feel bored. Sometimes, reading a novel makes me sleepy. So watching movies is a good way to know the novels.
