    7、 has been crowned at Westminster Abbey.After ascending the throne on 6th February last year,The Queen has officially been crowned at her coronation ceremony.Queen Elizabeth II has become the 39th sovereign and sixth queen to be crowned at Westminster Abbey.It has hosted every coronation since 1066.A

    8、s is tradition,The Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh travelled in the Gold State Coach.29,200 troops from across the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth joined The Queen in her procession.Three million people lined up along the processional route hoping to get a glimpse of The Queen.Her Majesty The Qu

    9、een wore an elaborate white satin gown designed by Norman Hartnell.It was embroidered with the emblems of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth in gold and silver thread.The Queen carried a specially-designed Coronation Bouquet.It was made up of white flowers,including orchids and lilies,from diff

    10、erent parts of the United Kingdom.8,251 guests,including 73 heads of state,attended the coronation ceremony.The Archbishop of Canterbury conducted the ceremony and presided over her oath.In her oath,Queen Elizabeth II promised to govern over her people and carry out her duties as a monarch.The Queen

    16、Perseverance has been helping us learn more about the red planet.However,this week,it began its key mission of searching for evidence that there was once life on Mars.No,not little green men,just microbes that might once have lived there.In 2021,the car-sized rover touched down in an area on Mars kn

    17、own as Jezero Crater.NASA scientists chose this location because they think there was once a river running through it.This week,Perseverance began climbing up a part of the ancient river known as a delta.“The delta is why Perseverance was sent to Jezero Crater,”said NASA scientist Ken Farley.“We wil

    18、l look for signs of ancient life in the rocks at the base of the delta,rocks that we think were once mud on the bottom of Lake Jezero.”As the robot rolls uphill,it is examining rocks.Its looking carefully for which rocks might hold the clues that there was once life on the Martian planet.When it rea

    19、ches the top,the rover will turn around and head back down again.As it does,Perseverance will collect some of the best samples.It will carry them down to the base of the delta but then thats where theyll have to wait.Although Perseverance is extremely advanced,its not clever enough to examine the ro

    25、 mythology of the area where the dinosaur was found.The people who discovered the remains said that Maip is an“evil entity”that“roams in the Andes mountains.”They added that it“represents the shadow of the death which kills with cold wind.”Thanks to the Jurassic Park movies,raptors have become a wel

    26、l-known type of dinosaur.Scientists think velociraptors grew to around 1.8 metres long.Thats roughly the same as the height of a person.As youd guess from the name,megaraptors were much bigger.Most grew to around 6-8 metres long.The scientists think that Maip macrothorax was a whopping 10 metres lon

    27、g!Thats roughly the same as six adults lying head-to-toe!The colossal carnivore wasnt just longer than other raptors,it would have been much heavier too.Velociraptors probably weighed around 45kg,but the shadow of the death could have weighed up to five tonnes!Although big,researchers think this typ

    28、e of dinosaur would have been fast and agile.Maip also had very large claws on its hands.They measured up to 40cm long!The scientists think that the combination of its size,speed and its deadly claws and teeth would have made it the apex predator in the area.They say that the terrifying dinosaur wou

    58、 May Get Children Eating More VegetablesHow do you feel about eating your vegetables?Do you think youd eat more if,when you were younger,youd been rewarded for trying them in the first place?Well,one study in the Netherlands has found that children were more willing to eat their veggies if they had

    59、been rewarded for trying them.Britt van Belkom worked on the study.She said,“Young children typically have to try a new vegetable eight to 10 times before they like it.“And so we looked at whether repeatedly asking children to try some vegetables would make them more willing to eat their greens.“We

    60、were also interested in whether providing a fun reward would make a difference.”Nearly 600 children aged 1-4 were involved.They were divided into three groups.Every day at nursery,one group was given vegetables to try and then a reward.The rewards were not food-based but things such as stickers or t

    61、oy crowns.One group was given vegetables to try every day at nursery but got no reward for trying them.One group was not given any vegetables to try or any rewards.This final group is whats known as a control group.Before the experiment began,all the children were tested to see how willing they were

    62、 to try vegetables.After three months,they were tested again.The willingness to try vegetables was unchanged in the group that got veggies but no rewards.The kids in the group that got no veggies to try or rewards were actually less willing to try the vegetables after the three months!However,childr
