It was founded by King George II in 1753 to house the collection left by Sir Hans Sloane.It contains collections throughout time, across the globe. You can see Egyptian mummies, ancient Greek statues and even Terracotta Warriors borrowed

    92、from Xian Museum under one roof. Financed by the UK government, it is free to visit the permanent collection. Youll need tickets to visit some rooms, though.As for recommendation, you can visit the great Reading Room, round in shape in the center of the museum. You might also see the Lewis Chessmen.
